Five women who survived grooming gang abuse have now come forward claiming they were also abused by police officers.
One woman said she was raped starting at age 12 by a South Yorkshire Police officer. He allegedly threatened to return her to her abusers if she didn’t cooperate.
She told the BBC he assaulted her in a marked police car and demanded sexual acts, knowing she was already being abused by a grooming gang. She later became pregnant at 15 and was forced into an abortion.
When she reported it, the officer who came to take her statement was her alleged abuser and he tore up her report in front of her.
